Turnkey solution

We have engineered AERES to be an out-of-the-box solution, allowing you to immediately begin managing your facilities assets without hassling with installation details. Here's how it works:

  1. When you purchase your AERES solution, we load the AERES software onto a server we have custom-engineered to maximize document retrieval.
  2. We next tailor AERES to match your university's colour scheme and logo requirements.
  3. We then deliver and install the server at your university's computing center.
  4. We configure the server to run daily, weekly, and monthly backups that fit your backup policy.
  5. We provide the administrator password to you, turn the server on, and you may begin uploading data immediately.

Data security and backups

Because of the sensitive nature of facilities data, ideacode engineered AERES to the highest security standards:

  • Users must authenticate themselves to AERES via a username and password.
  • AERES transmits all data over a 128-bit encrypted (https) connection.
  • Backups are made to a physically separate backup server (part of the server package we provide) over a private network. The backups are stored on removable hard drives (accessible only by a key), which may be placed into physically secure locations.
  • Runs on a Linux-based server, which has been shown to be significantly more secure than equivalent Microsoft solutions.

All deployed AERES servers automatically contact ideacode and download security patches as they become available, which ensures your AERES investment is always protected.

Reliability and Support
